Dr. Jenny Melo-Velasco
Jenny Melo-Velasco is a social science researcher at the Center for Regenerative Agriculture at the University of Missouri. She is an applied researcher with a keen interest in inclusive business models and digital agricultural technologies for small farmers. With over fourteen years of experience, Jenny has worked with businesses, NGOs, and farmers’ organizations, leading knowledge management projects focused on inclusive business, social innovation, and green businesses. Her work integrates her academic background with her experience as a consultant, researcher, and entrepreneur in Colombia and Latin America. A Fulbright Scholar and co-founder of Huella Delta, a Colombian social enterprise supporting small farmers to develop inclusive relationships with markets. Jenny holds a Ph.D. in Rural Sociology, a master’s degree in Social Sciences, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
