Asbin B K

I am Asbin B K, currently pursuing an MS in plant science. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Agriculture and Forestry University, (AFU), Nepal. Being born and raised in a family with a farming background, I have a deep passion in the field of agriculture. While working as a research intern at the Nepal Agriculture Research Council (NARC), an autonomous research organization in Nepal, I was exposed to the use of technologies in agriculture. Currently, I am working as a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) at the Sustainable Digital Agriculture Laboratory in the University of Missouri, Columbia, under Dr. Jasmine Neupane.

Research Focus:

My research focus lies on utilizing agricultural technologies that can improve production and decision-making in agricultural operations and boost sustainability.

Current research work:

Currently, I am working on research related to the variable rate of seeding in corn and soybeans in the Midwest. For this, we are using machine learning and geospatial analysis tools. Additionally, we are working on a specialty crop, blueberry, to explore irrigation management using precision agriculture technologies.
