Dr. John Tummons

John Tummons is an Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Agricultural Education and Leadership at the University of Missouri. John is driven by an insatiable curiosity about people, life, and how things work.

John has served as PI and CO-PI on multiple grants and research projects relating to attitudes and barriers to adopting precision agriculture technologies. John has extensive expertise in creating and delivering education and outreach programs with youth and adult stakeholders. John teaches and advises graduate students from across the college in quantitative social science research methods, needs assessments, logic models, survey design, data collection, and data analysis. John’s background in production agriculture, curriculum expertise, and social science research experience helps the DAREC team highlight the importance of people in precision agriculture science.  Email: tummonsj@missouri.edu
